Christy Millay is a children's author, professor, and family nurse practitioner with a lifelong love of animals, nature, and storytelling. She delights in creating whimsical, rhyming stories that inspire laughter, imagination, and a love of reading. When she's not writing, you'll likely find her tending a wildflower garden, spending time with her family, friends, or pets, or enjoying the simple joys of life with her husband, Billy, at their Kentucky farm. Christy and Billy have one daughter and son-in-law, Abby and Adam, and twin grandchildren, Avery and Amelia.

Sam is a real-life schnoodle with a big heart, a playful spirit, and his own unique way of doing just about everything. Meet Billy
Billy is one of Sam’s favorite humans and is also known as Dr. Millay. By day, he’s an orthodontist who helps children and grown-ups straighten their teeth and create happy, healthy smiles. Luckily, Sam takes his toothbrushing very seriously—even if baths and nail trims are another story! When Billy isn’t busy creating smiles or chasing a certain fluffy schnoodle around the house, you’ll probably find him outdoors enjoying life on his Kentucky farm.
Whether he’s straightening teeth, working on the farm, or trying to convince Sam that bath time really isn’t that bad, Billy always seems to have an adventure on his hands!
